STATEMENT
Fabrics have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My great-grandmother and grandmother were very talented seamstresses. My
interest for fabrics began at a very early age, this is when I realized all the textures fabrics could offer. Later on, my passion was to die all fabrics I
came across and to color them according to fashion colors. I was initiated to tie-die techniques in 1997, and particularly to a Japanese technique
called Shibori. It was a real discovery. Since then, all aspects of Shibori have been a continuous source of inspiration. My deep motivation is to
create distinctive exclusive fabrics of high quality. The use of natural fibers as linen, silk, and cotton is my way to express my respect towards
materials coming from the earth and which will return to the earth. In many ways, my crafts became my artistic expression and my art is a reflection
of my imagination resulting in a style that is both unique and contemporary.
